Located in the scenic Wynoochee River Valley, Shaffner Farms continues to expand the number of crops they produce as well as the amount of acreage in production. The forty acre farm and nineteen leased acres, produces vegetables, berries, flowers, pumpkin patch, hay, and sells fruit products from the Yakima Valley for eating or canning. Shaffner Farms is family owned and operated. Owen Shaffner, along with his wife JoAnn Shaffner, started the farm in 1993, on eight acres of ground. Since then, the farm has grown to forty acres, plus 19 leased acres. The farm grows a variety of beans, cabbage, beets, carrots, lettuce, cauliflower, cucumbers (eating and pickling), berries, etc. Vegetables range from A to Z; such as Artichokes to Zucchini squash.
